Accounting That Keeps Up With Your Growth

Who We Serve Best

Growing businesses reach a point where basic bookkeeping isn’t enough. Inventory gets more complex, properties multiply, and tax bills become harder to predict. Mercaldi Accounting works with owner-managed, asset-heavy businesses including real estate Investors, manufacturing, wholesale, and growing service businesses to keep their books clean, their reporting reliable, and their taxes planned ahead of time.

Specialized Accounting and Tax Strategy for Manufacturers and Real Estate Investors

Flat-rate monthly bookkeeping, proactive tax planning, and IRS expertise, fully remote, and no surprise bills.

Most growing manufacturers and real estate investors are working with a generalist who files the return and disappears for the rest of the year, or they’re doing the books themselves and falling behind. This leaves you with missed deductions, compliance exposure, and financial statements that can’t tell you anything useful.

We do things differently:
• Enrolled Agent credentialed by the IRS able to represent you in IRS audits.
• Specialized in manufacturing accounting and real estate tax strategy.
• Flat monthly fees so you always know what you’re paying.
• Fully remote, onboarding takes less than a week.

Who We Are

Caio Mercaldi, EA

Founder

I founded Mercaldi Accounting to help growing businesses stay organized, plan ahead, and make better decisions with reliable financial information. My background in corporate accounting, including experience in manufacturing and agriculture-related operations, gave me a strong understanding of financial reporting, internal processes, inventory, and the challenges businesses face as they grow.

Today, I work with real estate owners, manufacturing and wholesale companies, service businesses, and franchise owners. I provide bookkeeping, tax planning, tax preparation, and practical accounting guidance designed to reduce surprises and give owners confidence in their numbers.

I studied accounting at the University of Florida and am an Enrolled Agent credentialed by the IRS. My goal is simple: provide responsive, plain-English support and build long-term relationships with the businesses I serve.

Got a Question?

Mercaldi Accounting is a strong fit for business owners who want responsive, year-round support rather than an accountant they only hear from at tax time.

We specialize in real estate, manufacturing and wholesale, service businesses, and franchises, while continuing to assist select individuals and businesses in other industries. Our approach is practical and straightforward: maintain reliable records, explain issues in plain English, plan ahead, and provide recommendations based on your specific circumstances.

Every engagement begins with a conversation to determine whether our experience and services are a good fit for your needs.

We provide accounting and tax support for individuals and owner-managed businesses, including:

  • Individual and business tax preparation
  • Monthly bookkeeping and financial reporting
  • Year-round tax planning
  • Business formation and entity-structure guidance
  • Sales tax and tangible personal property filings
  • Partnership and ownership-transition support
  • Accounting and profitability advisory
  • Cost segregation studies

Services are tailored to the client’s business, reporting needs, and level of complexity.

No. Mercaldi Accounting is a fully remote firm, and clients can work with us securely from anywhere in the United States, subject to service availability and state-specific requirements.

Meetings are held by phone or video conference, and documents are exchanged through a secure client portal. This allows us to provide convenient, responsive service without requiring office visits.

Our standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 10am – 6pm Eastern Time.

Meetings are scheduled by appointment so we can give each client our full attention. Limited appointments outside standard hours may be available when arranged in advance.

The initial introductory call is complimentary. Its purpose is to understand your needs, answer general questions about our process, and determine whether we are a good fit.

Detailed tax analysis, bookkeeping reviews, entity evaluations, or recommendations requiring document review may be provided as a paid diagnostic or advisory engagement. Any fee will be explained before work begins.

Fees depend on the type of service, complexity of the work, number of entities or accounts involved, condition of the records, transaction volume, and level of ongoing support required.

Whenever possible, we use clear, fixed-fee or monthly pricing rather than open-ended hourly billing. After the initial conversation and review, you will receive a written scope and fee before deciding whether to proceed.

You receive more than completed forms or categorized transactions. Our work is designed to provide:

  • Accurate, organized, and tax-ready records
  • Clear explanations of your financial and tax position
  • Proactive reminders and planning
  • Defined deliverables and expectations
  • Secure document exchange
  • Responsive communication
  • Practical recommendations based on your business

The exact deliverables, timeline, and responsibilities are documented in your proposal and engagement agreement.
